King, Queen return from working visit in Japan

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and Her Majesty Queen Rania on Wednesday returned to Jordan after a working visit to Japan, according to a Royal Court statement. Their Majesties met Emperor of Japan Akihito, Empress Michiko, Japan Crown Prince Naruhito and his wife Princess Masako.
King Abdullah and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe held talks during the visit that focused on the historical friendship between Jordan and Japan and ways of expanding cooperation, especially in investment and economy.
Jordan and Japan also signed a development policy loan agreement worth $300 million and funded by the Japanese government for Jordan in the presence of His Majesty and Abe.
The two sides also signed another agreement for boosting and protecting mutual investment. King Abdullah’s visit also included several meetings with Japanese senior officials and businessmen.
