King, Kuwait emir discuss cooperation to counter COVID-19

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and Kuwait Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah discussed on Thursday means to bolster bilateral and international cooperation to counter the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
King Abdullah and Sheikh Sabah stressed the importance of maintaining coordination on issues of mutual concern, including countering the humanitarian and economic ramifications of COVID-19, according to a Royal Court statement.
His Majesty expressed appreciation for Kuwait’s ongoing support for Jordan, especially in efforts to counter the pandemic, underscoring the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and peoples.
The King expressed Jordan’s readiness to provide any means of support needed by the people of Kuwait, the statement said.
His Majesty and the Kuwait emir exchanged best wishes on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
