King honours Abu Al Soud for historic gymnastics win

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah bestowed the King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein Medal of Excellence of the first order on Jordanian athlete Ahmed Abu Al Soud for his historic achievement as the first Arab to win a medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, according to a Royal Court statement.
National gymnast Ahmad Abu Al Soud made history by earning the Kingdom’s first world medal in gymnastics on Saturday.
He secured a silver medal in the pommel horse at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Liverpool, United Kingdom, from October 29 to November 6.
