King attends night exercise

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Monday observed a night military drill executed by a joint special operations unit.

The King was briefed on the drill’s procedures, which included night raids by fighter helicopters and Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) jets, and involved different types of weapons and technological tools used in night operations.

His Majesty commended the advanced level of the unit and RJAF, especially their personnel’s accuracy in hitting targets and their coordination with ground forces. Chairman of the Joint Chief-of-Staff Gen.

Mashal Al Zaben, the King’s military adviser, and HRH Prince Feisal, special assistant to the chairman of the joint chiefs-of-staff, also attended the drill.

Earlier on Monday, the King attended the graduation ceremony for two tactical aviation training courses at Prince Hashem Special Operations School.
