KAFD launches 4th media, information training project

AMMAN — As part of its efforts to empower the youth, enhance digital citizenship values, combat rumours and hate speech, mainly on social media, the King Abdullah II Fund For Development (KAFD) has launched the fourth edition of the media and information training project.
The project aims to build capacities of young people in dealing with modern media, accessing the most reliable information and media content, and verifying information and multi-source media messages before circulating them, according to a KAFD statement.
The project targets young Jordanians in the age group of 18-30. Participants will undergo a three-day training programme nationwide on topics related to the impact of media and social media, the optimal use of digital content, building balanced approaches in handling information sources, legal culture and digital security.
