AMMAN — The Jordanian Judicial Council on Sunday announced that it will donate 30 per cent of the salaries of both the president of the Court of Cassation and the president of the Supreme Administrative Court towards the Kingdom’s efforts to fight COVID-19.
The council will also donate 10 per cent of the monthly salaries of the judges of the Court of Cassation, the Supreme Administrative Court and senior judges, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The council also decided to stop salary increases for judges, which went into effect at the beginning of 2020 under the civil service by-law. The decision includes halting the increase in the basic salaries of senior judges.
