Judeh reviews developments in Iraq with UN official

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Monday discussed the latest developments in Iraq with special representative of the UN secretary general and head of the UN Mission for Iraq Ján Kubis. Judeh and Kubis reiterated that all stakeholders must join efforts to achieve security and stability in the country, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Judeh commended the UN mission’s role in Iraq, stressing that Jordan’s keenness to continue cooperation and coordination with it.
Talks also covered efforts to combat terrorism and extremism in Iraq and the entire region. Kubis voiced the UN’s appreciation for the Kingdom’s role in working for regional peace and stability, and its keenness to sustain coordination and consultation with Amman.
