AMMAN — Jordanians took to the streets across the Kingdom on Friday to express solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and condemn the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The protesters urged the international community and organisations to shoulder their responsibilities and pressure Israel to stop committing further crimes and violations against unarmed civilians in the besieged strip, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
They said that such atrocities constitute a breach to the international and humanitarian laws, and a genocide that claimed the lives of thousands of innocent people.
The participants also praised the position of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, since the start of the aggression, and Amman's assistance to Palestinians in Gaza.
They also commended the role of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) that carried out several airdrops of medical, relief and food aid to help alleviate the repercussions of the war and make up for the sharp drop in foodstuff and medicines as a result of the war on the coastal enclave.
