Arab Parliament decries war crimes in Gaza

AMMAN — The Arab Parliament condemned the Israeli occupation for its ongoing atrocities against unarmed Palestinians, most recently the massacre in the Mawasi region of Khan Yunis, Gaza.
The attack resulted in over 120 civilian casualties, mostly children and women, with Israeli missiles burying entire families under the rubble.
In a statement, the Arab Parliament criticised the Israeli occupation for its continued acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing in flagrant defiance of international resolutions and laws, particularly international humanitarian law, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
These actions violate basic human values and the right to life, and undermine global efforts to negotiate a ceasefire and end the aggression, the statement read.
Criticising the lack of accountability and impunity enjoyed by the Israeli occupation encourages it to commit further crimes against innocent civilians, the Arab Parliament held the international community, the UN Security Council and the US administration fully responsible for these ongoing massacres, which are taking place daily amid "shameful" international silence.
The Arab Parliament called on the international community, the UN Security Council and influential nations to take immediate action to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its genocidal war and brutal massacres against Palestinian civilians.
The parliament also called for those responsible for these war crimes to be held accountable and for the protection of Palestinian civilians.
The statement also called for the rapid delivery of humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza to alleviate the severe hunger and dire conditions in the Strip.
