AMMAN — Jordanian filmmakers are participating in film festivals in the UK, the Royal Film Commission (RFC) said in a statement on Sunday.
The directors will meet with industry consultants and join roundtables with buyers at the Sheffield Film Festival, and will promote Jordanian filmmaking at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the statement said.
This comes as part of Amman Sheffield Days exchange programme jointly managed by British Council and the RFC.
The commission has collaborated with the British Council and the Scottish Documentary Institute to produce a collection of documentaries made by young people in Salt.
“The four short documentaries, which were screened as part of ‘Sheffield Film Days in Amman 2016’, will hopefully be distributed to international documentary festivals by the Scottish Documentary Institute,” the statement said.
