Jordan, US discuss efforts to combat terror financing

AMMAN — Finance Minister Omar Malhas met in New York with US Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew on Thursday and discussed joint Jordanian-US efforts and measures to combat the financing of terrorism.
The meeting was held before a UN Security Council session on combating terrorism financing.
The US official stressed his country’s commitment to supporting Jordan in combating the Daesh terror group, and assisting the Kingdom to strengthen its economy and deal with the Syrian refugee crisis, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
