Jordan, US discuss cooperation in strategic sectors

AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Sunday discussed bilateral cooperation in security, politics and economy with US Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration Anne C. Richard, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, attended by US Ambassador Alice G. Wells, the two officials discussed regional developments and the repercussions of the Syrian crisis.
Commenting on the Syrian refugee influx, Hammad said Jordan cannot perform its aid role without the help of the international community, which should take into account the limited resources of the Kingdom.
