AMMAN — Jordan is one of the EU’s closest partners, EU Ambassador to Jordan Joanna Wronecka has said, noting that Europeans see the Kingdom as more than just a partner.
She made her remarks at a seminar held at the Jordan Press Association on Wednesday evening.
Wronecka said Jordan has realised qualitative leaps that pushed its international reputation forward.
On the union’s future plans to support Jordan, she said the focus will be on three sectors: renewable energy, employment and private sector development.
Around 60 per cent of the EU’s assistance goes to the government, while the rest is directed to civil society organisations and other institutions, she said.
