He also lauded their role in defending Arab nations’ issues, foremost of which the Palestinian cause. Under Royal directives issued in 2012, the country designated February 15 as a national day that recognises the service of veterans.
The Kingdom marked this day as the region continues to witness destructive wars and instability that give further reason to recognise the efforts of Jordanian army personnel — both retired and in-service personnel.
Meanwhile, Lower House Speaker Abdulmunim Oddat also marked the occasion, expressing the Chamber’s keenness on implementing the Royal visions related to improving the living conditions of veterans, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
