AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) launched on Sunday its 2022 Ramadan campaign with the goal of guaranteeing that everyone in Jordan has access to a hot iftar meal and that low-income families receive consistent food aid packages throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

The JHCO and its partners are working together to distribute food parcels through a network of charitable organisations affiliated with the Ministry for Social Development, according to a JHCO statement.

The campaign will also include sending food parcels and “iftar” meals to the West Bank and Gaza.

The JHCO accepts donations through its website www.jhco.org.jo.

The cost of a food package is JD25, while an iftar meal costs JD3.5 per person, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

JHCO General Secretary Hussein Shibli said that the Ramadan campaign holds a special place among the organisation’s activities, adding that he hopes people donate in order to show solidarity with the less fortunate and help get meals to as large a number of people as possible.
