AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) launched its "Ramadan with Goodness is Different" campaign for 2023.

The campaign aims to provide and distribute hot iftar meals and food parcels to Jordanian families in need, along with Syrian and Palestinian refugees, with the support of various donors across the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.  Iftar is the breaking of the fast at sunset.

According to a statement released by JHCO on Thursday, hot iftar meals will be prepared in the productive Arzaq kitchen, one of the organisation's projects for training and employment. A team of chefs, assistants and volunteers will prepare and deliver the meals to local partner charities, which will distribute them to fasting individuals in their homes throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

The statement highlighted the joint efforts of the organisation and humanitarian and private sector partners to reach beneficiaries across the country's governorates through the campaign's programmes, including food coupons, food parcels, hot iftar meals and eid clothing within the network of registered charitable associations affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and the Jordanian Department of Palestinian Affairs.

The JHCO is accepting cash donations through its website www.jhco.org.jo, as well as through the "eFAWATEERcom" app, or direct donations at the organisation's headquarters in Khalda, Saed Benow Street,  Building No. 4.

Hussein Al Shibli, the JHCO’s secretary-general, said that for the fifth consecutive year, and in recognition of the significance of the holy month for individual and corporate donors, the organisation aims to reach more than 100,000 beneficiaries.
