Jordan condemns terrorist attack in Sweden

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday condemned Friday’s truck attack in the Swedish capital Stockholm, which killed four and left several others injured, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
His Majesty sent a cable to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, in which he condemned the “heinous act” and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families, while wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
King Abdullah reiterated Jordan’s support to Sweden and its people.
For his part, Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani reiterated the Kingdom’s condemnation of such acts, which, he said, prove that terrorists seek to spread chaos across the globe, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Momani, who is also the minister of state for media affairs, voiced Amman’s support for Stockholm in its fight against terrorism and extremism, calling for an intensification of international efforts to deal with threats of terror through a holistic approach.
