AMMAN — Jordan on Tuesday strongly condemned the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip, calling for an immediate halt to the Israeli aggression against the innocent Palestinians in the coastal enclave.
The government’s condemnation was expressed by Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammad Momani, who called on the international community to play an effective role in stopping the Israeli assaults which have left several Palestinians dead and many others injured in addition to the deep devastation to the enclave’s buildings and infrastructure, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Momani also warned against the negative consequences of the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip and the entire region, reiterating that the negotiating table is the only place to work out a resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Momani also said that the Israeli unilateral measures are in violation of the international law and they pose a serious threat to peace efforts.
