Jordan bought 19,194 GWh in 2020 — report

AMMAN — Jordan in 2020 bought a total of 19,194 gigawatt hours (GWh), while sold 18,863 gigawatt hours (GWh).
According to the National Electric Power Company’s annual report, the amount of purchased electricity from traditional projects stood at 15,768 GWh, while 3,024 GWh were from renewable projects.
The figures showed that the amount of energy imported from Egypt stood at 380.6 GWh. The amount of Jordan’s exported energy, according to the report, reached 190.1 GWh, 183.9 GWh to the Jerusalem Company (Jericho), 6.2 GWh to the Iraqi border crossing (Trebil), in addition to 1.0 GWh, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
