JFDA discusses cooperation, integration with Saudi counterpart

AMMAN — Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Director General Nizar Muhaidat on Tuesday called for focusing on integration in the adoption of products and facilities between the JFDA and its Saudi counterpart. 

During a meeting with a technical delegation from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority's (SFDA) executive directorate to support the inspection of facilities, Muhaidat highlighted the need to facilitate the procedures for achieving integration and develop a common database to set up access to the products and facilities, to enhance the flow and speed of communication between the two parties, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

The guest delegation, which conducted a series of visits to a number of meat and poultry product facilities, commended the advanced level of the Jordanian factories and the JFDA's oversight role.
