JFDA chief meets with Palestinian health minister

AMMAN — Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Director General Nizar Mheidat on Wednesday highlighted the Kingdom's  expertise in establishing a regulatory body concerned with ensuring food quality and safety as well as efficacy and reliability of drug products. During an official visit to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah and meeting with Palestinian Health Minister Mai Kaila, Mheidat stressed JFDA's keenness to enhance cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The director general also voiced JFDA's keenness to help the Palestinian people to benefit from the administration's expertise by creating a similar entity in Palestine. He noted that the visit follows a trip by a delegation from the Palestinian Ministry of Health to JFDA to acquaint itself with Jordan's relevant expertise, discuss cooperation mechanisms, and review JFDA's procedures.
