JCD thwarts 10kg-cystal meth smuggling attempt

AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department (JCD) personnel at Jaber Border Crossing, in cooperation with the security apparatuses, foiled an attempt to smuggle 10 kg of crystal meth into the Kingdom.
The JCD spokesperson said that a search of a vehicle coming from a neighbouring country yielded 10 kg of crystal meth that was hidden in a “secret compartment”, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The spokesperson added that the seized items and the driver were referred to the Anti-Narcotics Department for legal action.
