AMMAN — The Jordan Customs Department (JCD) personnel at Jaber Border Crossing, in cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), foiled an attempt to smuggle 90,000 Captagon pills into the Kingdom.
The seized items were hidden in a “secret compartment” inside a truck coming from a neighbouring country.
Customs officials found the narcotics after ordering that the suspicious vehicle undergo a x-ray search, JCD Spokesperson Fadi Qudah said as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra. He added that the seized items and the driver were referred to AND.
