JBA, Iraqi Business Council sign cooperation agreement

AMMAN — The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) and the Iraqi Business Council (IBC) in Jordan on Tuesday signed an agreement to improve economic cooperation. 

A JBA statement, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said the agreement aims to cooperate on holding events, conferences, and forums that serve the development of economic relations, facilitate networking among businesspeople, exchange expertise and information on available opportunities and establish strategic partnerships at the local and regional levels. 

JBA President Hamdi Tabbaa reviewed the association's role in strengthening Jordan's economic and investment relations internationally and with Arab countries, and promoting the advantages, incentives and investment opportunities in the Kingdom. 

IBC Chairman Majid Saadi highlighted a number of projects that the Iraqi government will promote, namely in the fields of communications, real estate development and reconstruction.
