JBA, Romanian ambassador discuss economic ties

AMMAN — Members of the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) on Sunday met with Romanian Ambassador George Christian Mabor.
The two sides discussed ways to develop economic ties between Jordan and Romania as well as the shared investment forum being held in Amman this month.
According to a JBA statement, attendees discussed the establishment of a Jordanian-Romanian business council in addition to other forms of economic cooperation between the countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JBA Chairman Hamdi Tabbaa noted that Jordan benefits from a stable investment environment and has an economy that is open to the world through a wide range of trade agreements.
Tabbaa also emphasised Jordan’s strength in the communication and information technology sectors, adding that there are many opportunities for cooperation with Romanian businesses.
Mabor expressed his desire to improve economic relations between the countries and increase bilateral trade, adding that Romania considers Jordan a strategic partner.
