Issawi visits house of sergeant who died during police chase

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, on Saturday visited the house of condolences of the family of Sergeant Abdulrahman Jaradat. Jaradat died on duty, when a gendarmerie vehicle overturned while chasing a suspect in Al Lubban last week.
Issawi, during the visit to the family in Irbid’s Bushra town, conveyed King Abdullah’s sympathies to Jaradat’s family, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Jaradat died while implementing joint security duty with the Public Security Department and the Anti-Narcotics Department. The incident also left five people injured. Gendarmerie Department Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh promoted Jaradat from Corporal to Sergeant.
