AMMAN — The ultimate goal for all state institutions is to preserve the higher national interest, Interior Minister Salameh Hammad said Monday.
At a meeting with National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) Chief Commissioner Mohammad Bakhit and NCHR board member Mousa Burayzat, Hammad stressed the ministry’s keenness to maintain Jordan’s international reputation in human rights.
He noted that the ministry is directly involved in following up on the human rights reports it receives, and will not turn a blind eye to ensuring the application of law and respecting it. Bakhit praised the level of the cooperation between the ministry and the centre.
