Rawabdeh, Tarawneh receive copies of human rights report

AMMAN — Senate President Abdur-Ra’uf S. Rawabdeh on Wednesday received a copy of the National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) report on the condition of human rights in Jordan during 2014.
Rawabdeh received the report during a meeting with NCHR board of trustees’ chairman Mohammad Adnan Al Bakhit and commissioner general Mousa Burayzat.
Recent constitutional amendments cemented the concepts of freedom, democracy and human rights, Rawabdeh said, commending the NCHR’s active role.
Also on Wednesday, Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh met with Bakhit and Burayzat, and received a copy of the report.
