Interior minister meets with Canadian, Korean ambassadors

AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Wednesday received Canadian Ambassador to Jordan Donica Pottie with the two officials discussing regional developments and ways to strengthen economic, political and security cooperation.
During the meeting, Hammad stressed the importance of bilateral exchange of expertise and information in police and crime-related fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also addressed the refugee situation in the Kingdom, reaffirming that Jordan treats refugees according to humanitarian and legal principles. Pottie, for her part, expressed her country’s keenness to continue enhancing cooperation with the Kingdom.
Also on Wednesday, Hammad received Korean Ambassador to Jordan Lee Jae-wan to discuss enhancing Jordanian-Korean relations and issues of common concern, Petra reported.
The minister stressed that the two countries should work to activate their political and economic cooperation, increase the volume of Korean investments in Jordan and exchange security expertise. The Korean ambassador affirmed his country’s keenness to expand cooperation with Jordan in various fields.
