ICT minister meets with Iraqi ministers on digitisation collaboration

AMMAN — ICT Minister Muthana Gharaibeh briefed Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Planning Fuad Hussein and Minister of Health and Environment Alaa Alwan, on the Kingdom’s practical experiences in the automation of health services and financial technologies and e-payment systems.
In the presence of Jordanian Ambassador Muntaser Oqlah, the minister said that Jordan has made great strides in the process of digitisation. He also pointed out that the process of digitising economic and service sectors is underway to reach a “Digital Jordan”, according to an official statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
He called for granting Jordanian ICT companies the necessary facilities to enter Iraqi markets and called on the ministers to dispatch delegations to learn about Jordan’s successful experiences in regards to digitisation. Gharaibeh is visiting Iraq to participate in “The Investment Map of the Arab Region for the Telecommunications Sector” conference.
