House speaker, Syrian charge d'affaires talk ties

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Abdulkarim Dughmi on Tuesday highlighted the importance of developing Jordanian-Syrian relations in all fields to serve the interests of the two peoples, stressing that the security and stability of the two countries are “one and intertwined”.
Receiving Issam Yanal, acting charge d'affaires of the Syrian embassy, Dughmi stressed that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, is highly keen on the unity and stability of Syria and for its return to the normal levels among the Arab nation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The speaker stressed that Jordan has always and will continue refusing all forms of foreign interference in the domestic affairs of Arab countries, where the Kingdom, since the outbreak of the events in Syria, has refrained from interfering and refused to be part of any action that targeted Syria.
Yanal voiced his country’s keenness to develop ties with the Kingdom in all fields, commending the stances of Jordan towards Syria and Amman's keenness on the unity and cohesion of the Syrian people and territories.
