Jordanian-Syrian Parliamentary Friendship Committee meets Syrian embassy charge d'affaires

AMMAN — Head of the Jordanian-Syrian Parliamentary Friendship Committee, MP Khaled Abu Hassan, on Monday said that Syria's return to the Arab League is a promising step towards fulfilling its crucial and strategic role in the region.
During a meeting with the acting charge d'affaires of the Syrian embassy, Issam Yanal, Abu Hassan highlighted the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation between Jordan and Syria, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Yanal acknowledged Jordan's role in facilitating Syria's return to the Arab League as well as the Kingdom’s supportive stance towards Damascus. Both parties also emphasised the importance of intensifying parliamentary visits to Syria and enhancing joint coordination for the benefit of both peoples.
