AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi is scheduled to hold official talks with his Iraqi counterpart Mohammed Al Halbousi during a visit to Iraq on Tuesday. Safadi will be accompanied by heads of Lower House blocs, and MPs are planned to hold talks with various blocs in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The visit, which came at the invitation of Halbousi, aims to build upon the outcomes of the Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership Conference hosted by Jordan last month, which affirmed that Iraq's security and stability are fundamental for stability in the region. The delegates will speak with heads of Iraqi parliamentary blocs prospects about strengthening Jordanian-Egyptian-Iraqi economic cooperation and integration projects, accelerating the pace of Jordanian-Iraqi joint projects and taking steps to stimulate mutual investment, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
