House speaker emphasises Jordan-Iraq investment cooperation

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi on Monday emphasised the need to scale up efforts to enhance joint Jordanian-Iraqi cooperation, one of the goals reflecting the results of the Jordanian-Iraqi-Egyptian tripartite summit and the second "Baghdad for Cooperation and Partnership" conference, all of which have received continuous interest and support from His Majesty King Abdullah.
During the committee meeting regarding the results of the parliamentary delegation's visit to Baghdad, in the presence of the President of the Coordination Committee, MP Khair Abu Saileik, President of the Iraqi Business Council Majed Al Saadi and members of the council, Safadi expressed the chamber’s keenness to boost cooperation between both countries.
He also stressed the importance of the role of private sector in joint Jordanian-Iraqi projects, emphasising the need to support Iraqi investors in Jordan and remove challenges that they face, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. Saadi emphasised the council's eagerness to maintain coordination and cooperation to address all challenges hindering investment in both countries.
