House speaker meets with private sector representatives

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi on Tuesday said that collaboration between the government, the Lower House and the private sector holds key to the success of Jordan-Iraq partnership, as well as for the trilateral cooperation with Egypt.
During a meeting with Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) President Hamdi Tabbaa, Chairman of the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ) Bassem Al Sale, President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry Fathi Jaghbir, President of the Jordanian Construction Contractors Association (JCCA) Ayman Al Khudari, Amman Chamber of Commerce President Khalil Hajj Tawfiq, President of the Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruits and Vegetables Saadi Abu Hammad, Safadi highlighted the outcomes of the parliamentary delegation's recent visit to Baghdad.
Safadi called for the formation of a higher committee comprising members of the Lower Chamber and private sector representatives to coordinate joint action and reach recommendations to be shared with the government aimed at easing obstacles related to trade exchange and enhancing investments between the three nations.
The private sector representatives commended the outcomes of the parliamentary delegation's visit to Baghdad, noting that it has opened “new horizons for partnership”.
