House committee members, French ambassador talk cooperation

AMMAN — Members of the Jordanian-European Parliamentary Friendship Committee on Thursday met with French Ambassador to Jordan Veronique Volan and discussed means of enhancing bilateral relations in all fields.
MP Khaldoun Hina, head of the association, highlighted the “distinguished” Jordanian-French ties, calling for bolstering partnerships in the fields of economy, education, tourism, agricultural and water in a way that would serve the best interests of both countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hina also lauded Paris’ supportive stances towards the Palestinian cause and other regional issues.
The French envoy emphasised the two countries’ common stances towards various regional and international issues, notably the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, stressing her country’s support for Jordan’s stance in international fora.
She also expressed keenness to advance the Jordanian-French relations through the exchange of visits and expertise.
