AMMAN — The Himmat Watan (A Nation’s Effort) Fund’s website was officially launched on Saturday to receive donations in support of national efforts to combat the COVID-19 crisis in the Kingdom and mitigate its repercussions.
The website will facilitate donations to the fund’s three accounts, the first of which is its main account Al Himma, designated for contributions of at least JD100,000, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The fund’s second account is the Health Account, which aims to channel support to the Ministry of Health’s efforts in tackling the pandemic in Jordan.
“Al Khair”, the fund’s third account, is designated for alleviating the effects of precautionary measures taken by the government against the virus on vulnerable and underprivileged communities, who have been hit hardest by the loss of income sources during the crisis.
Head of the committee in charge of managing Himmat Watan Fund’s main account, Abdulkarim Kabariti, said on Saturday that its website, http://himmatwatan.jo, will publish the names of donors who make donations of JD5,000 or more as a token of appreciation for their contributions.
