Himmat Watan Fund committee contributes JD27m to NAF

AMMAN — The committee tasked with managing the Himmat Watan Fund’s main donation account on Monday decided to disburse JD27 million to the National Aid Fund’s (NAF) account.
The move is intended to support those affected by the coronavirus crisis, and the daily wage worker programme implemented by the NAF, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Also on Monday, Eqbal Investment Co. contributed JD500,000 to support the Himmat Watan Fund, Petra added.
The Himmat Watan (A Nation’s Effort) Fund was established under Defence Order No. 4 to support national efforts to curb the coronavirus and address its repercussions.
