AMMAN — Health Minister Feras Al Hawari said that events and gatherings are “not the reason” for the high epidemic curve, since all attendants of such events have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
In an interview with Jordan Television's "60 Minutes" programme, Hawari noted that 35 per cent of the total daily infections is among the age group of 10 and 17 years, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He revealed that the ministry has developed alternative plans to deal with the epidemiological situation even in a worst-case scenario, which may reach 2,500 infections. Hawari stressed oxygen levels at hospitals are routinely checked. He called on everyone over the age of 60 to take the booster dose.
