Hawatmeh awards PSD officers with first State Centenary Medal

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh on Wednesday awarded a group of non-commissioned officers of the PSD the first State Centenary Medal.

His Majesty granted the medal to the PSD during the Kingdom’s celebrations of the Great Arab Revolt, Army Day and the Centenary of Public Security to honour their pioneering role in the nation’s elevation, progress and stability over the past hundred years.

Hawatmeh congratulated the awarded officials and all PSD personnel, recalling the sacrifices made by the personnel, retirees, and officers who died in the line of duty and who have given their lives for the homeland since the state’s establishment.
