Hawari, Libyan ambassador discuss cooperation in health field

AMMAN — Health Minister Feras Al Hawari and Libyan Ambassador Abdulbasit Badri on Tuesday discussed means of strengthening bilateral relations between the countries, mainly in the healthcare field.
During the meeting, Hawari stressed the importance of boosting ties between the Jordanian and Libyan ministries of health, exchanging expertise, supporting medical residency programmes and training and continuing medical education programmes between Jordanian and Libyan doctors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The two officials also discussed medical care provided to Libyan patients in the Kingdom. Hawari and Badri went over a possible revision of the treatment costs for Libyan patients in Jordanian hospitals that are contracted with the Libyan Health Office, as well as the possibility of facilitating visa procedures for the entry of Libyan patients into the Kingdom.
