Gov’t denounces Israeli attacks on Gaza civilians

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday denounced the continuous Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip targeting innocent civilians.
During a session headed by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh briefed the council on the situation in Gaza and the efforts Jordan is exerting to reach a ceasefire, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Judeh referred to His Majesty King Abdullah’s contacts with Egypt, Palestine, the US administration, the UN secretary general, and regional and international leaders to halt the attacks on Gaza.
The Cabinet also denounced the Israeli massacre on Sunday at the Shejaiya neighbourhood which resulted in the death of dozens of civilians and injury of hundreds, stressing that Jordan would not spare any efforts to “stand by our families in the enclave in the face of the Israeli aggression”.
Judeh also referred to the Kingdom’s medical and humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
