AMMAN — Christian Wulff, former president of Germany, visited the German-Jordanian University (GJU) campus on Tuesday, according to a GJU statement. Wulff said his country “is eager” to cooperate further with Jordan, praising GJU and its “wise steps toward success”.
At a meeting with Wulff attended by faculty and students, GJU President Natheer Abu Obeid said the university has worked hard during the past 10 years to build “an international applied educational system and to implement a creative approach in higher education”, according to the statement.
He thanked the German government and all the German organisations for their contributions to GJU. Wulff also spoke to GJU students who had exchange experiences in Germany and incoming German students. They discussed issues concerning cross-culture adaptation and life in both countries, the statement said.
