AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) announced resuming construction of the Jordan Gate twin towers near the Sixth Circle by becoming a partner through obtaining 31 per cent of the capital of the company that owns the project, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The decision comes as part of the government's commitment, which Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh emphasised on several recent occasions, to strengthen the national economy and push existing investments into succeeding and completing faltering ones, according to Petra.
GAM Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh expected that the first phase of the project, which includes the residential North Tower and the commercial complex, would be completed within 18 months, noting that work on the project would not cease until its completion.
