AMMAN — A delegation of the French senate on Tuesday honoured the victims of the terrorist attacks that took place in the Karak Castle and their families, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Karak Governor Sami Habarneh highlighted the good relations between the two countries and their rejection of terrorism and extremism. He also said that Jordan shoulders great burdens due to the Syrian refugee influx, which caused security, economic and social challenges beyond the capacity and potential of Jordan.
Christine Kamerman, president of the Jordanian-French Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the French senate, said that Karak was not chosen by coincidence, but to distort Jordan’s image.
Also on Tuesday, Education Minister Omar Razzaz met with Kamerman, and stressed the depth of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
