Four suspected drug dealers apprehended

AMMAN — Balqa Preventive Security Department personnel have arrested four people who have criminal records in drug cases, the Public Security Department’s (PSD) media centre announced on Thursday.
Preventive security officers received a tip that a group of men was using a house for drug manufacturing and trafficking, the PSD said, adding that they monitored the residence, gathered information on the suspects and raided the house after confirming the data.
The officers searched the house after arresting the four men, and found 8 kilogrammes of hashish, 2.5 kilogrammes of synthetic cannabis (locally known as joker), narcotics, a gun and materials for preparing joker, according to a PSD statement.
The suspects and the seized items were referred to the Anti-Narcotics Department for further investigation, the statement said.
