AMMAN — The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) on Wednesday said the results of the first phase of the potential risk monitoring programme has been completed and was conducted in line with Jordanian and international standards.
During a workshop, JFDA Director General Hayel Obeidat said this year’s programme targeted 55 items instead of 84 to examine a larger number of food samples, based on international reports on items more vulnerable to decay.
He noted that the programme aimed at expanding the JFDA’s database and providing precise information to work on needed food regulations.
