19.5 tonnes of spoiled food destroyed in Zarqa

ZARQA — The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) in Zarqa has destroyed 19.5 tonnes of food items unfit for human consumptions and from unknown sources so far in June.
The JFDA conducted 302 field visits, during which 153 warnings were issued to institutions to rectify their status, 14 violators referred to court, and 28 food outlets were closed for violating rules and regulations, according to Ayman Majali, JFDA’s Zarqa office director.
