Fire in downtown Amman shop extinguished

AMMAN — East Amman Civil Defence Department (CDD) firefighters on Saturday put off a blaze that erupted in a shop for fixing gas heaters in the capital's downtown area, a CDD statement said.
Firefighters controlled the blaze and prevented it from spreading outside the 24-square-metre shop, the statement said, adding that no one was injured and an investigation to determine the cause of the fire is under way.
