Fayez highlights security, stability in meeting with Yemen Shura Council speaker

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Monday highlighted the importance of bringing security and stability back to Yemen while maintaining the unity of its territories and people, stressing the need to end the suffering of the Yemeni people. 

Fayez's remarks came during a meeting with Speaker of the Yemeni Shura Council Ahmed Obeid Bin Dagher, during which they discussed means to enhance bilateral relations and the latest developments in Yemen and the region, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

Fayez stressed Jordan's support for legitimacy in Yemen to reach political solutions that can end the conflict in Yemen. He also referred to the importance of the pan-Yemeni dialogues that Jordan hosts, noting that these events reflect the Kingdom's clear stance towards Yemen. 

Bin Dagher praised the Kingdom's positions in support of Yemen as well as Jordan's continuous solidarity with Yemen, voicing his country's keenness to develop ties with Jordan in various fields.
